Headquarters of Flight One Group, our flagship Archerfield campus is a multi-purpose aviation hub integrating the Flight One School of Aviation with aircraft maintenance operations, FBO and departure lounge facilities, charter fleet operations and our authorised Cirrus Aircraft Training Centre. Students train in a genuine operational aviation environment with experienced instructors and access to an extensive aircraft fleet.
Archerfield Airport is Brisbane’s principal general aviation and flight-training airfield, making it an ideal base for professional pilot training. The airport provides exposure to a busy, authentic aviation environment while South East Queensland’s generally favourable weather supports flying operations through much of the year.
Once airborne, students progressively experience a diverse mix of controlled and uncontrolled airspace across some of the region’s most spectacular scenery — from Brisbane and the Gold Coast coastline to Moreton Bay and its islands, the hinterland and regional areas extending west beyond Toowoomba. This variety helps build practical navigation, communication, decision-making and real-world operating experience across metropolitan, coastal and inland environments.
